United World Haedong Kumdo Federation
United World Haedong Kumdo Federation founded by Grand Master Kim, Jeong Seong is registered to the Busan city authorities under goverment, which has each HK association according to each area all over the country as well as has each national HK assiciation according to the country. In the present, UWHKF has about 40 national members throughout the world.
The Federation incorporated the use of two swords based on the original system, which has added a very interesting and dynamic flare to this sword art. In addition to promoting Haedong Kumdo UWHKF also strives to spread it as a cultural art which could be performed on stage to promote the cultural heritage of Korea.
In the United World Haedong Kumdo Federation, we will be able to learn and practice in the two-swords system which is based on forms practicing with one-sword. The categories of two-swords system is composed of Ssang Kumbups, Ssang kyuk kum, Ssangkum Cutting (paper/bamboo/straw etc), Ssangkum throwing projector Cutting, etc.
The president and the founder of the UWHKF is Grand Master Kim. He is actively spreading the art of Haedong Kumdo throughout the world. It is becoming one of the fastest growing martial arts in the world today. Modern times have seen the re-popularization of Haedong Kumdo due to the efforts of Grand Master Kim. They include numerous performances, publication of Haedong Kumdo text books as well as implementation of the Haedong-ssang-kumdo (two swords system).
Haedong Kumdo is now getting very popular in the globe and have many kinds of HK events such as performance, demo, festival, championship and so on all over the world. Nowadays there is European HK Union, Asian HK Union, African HK Union, Oceana HK Union, Pan-American HK Union under United World Haedong Kumdo Federation. Haedong Kumdo is growing rapidly with many population and well-known one of martial arts in the world.
